Sautéed Bosc Pears with Maple Bourbon Mustard

Serious autumn vibes all around! Using eight gorgeous fall season ingredients, this one-of-a-kind recipe will be on repeat for sure! Caramelized bosc pears, maple syrup, bourbon, whole grain mustard, roasted chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, roasted pecans, and English thyme? What a combination!

 
Sautéed Bosc Pears with Maple Bourbon Mustard

Cook Time: 5 min

Total Time: 15 min

Yield: 3-4 servings


INGREDIENTS:

For the pears

  • 2 Bosc pears, quartered, seeds removed

For the dressing

  • ¼ cup whole grain mustard

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 tsp bourbon

  • sea salt to taste

For the toppings

  • ½ cup roasted chickpeas

  • ¼ cup roasted pecans

  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds

  • 5-7 thyme sprigs, fresh


INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Heat a non-stick pan on medium-high heat. Add in the pears and cook until caramelized (2 minutes on each side).

  2. While the pears are cooking, add the ingredients for the dressing in a small bowl. Whisk together until well-combined.

  3. Once the pears have caramelized, turn off the heat and add in your dressing. Gently flip the pears to fully coat.

  4. Plate and top with chickpeas, pecans, pumpkin seeds, and thyme. Serve with ice cream or on toasted challah bread. Enjoy!
